What Engineering Roles Look Like at Gregory
We operate across the country on large-scale civil and concrete projects including data centers, industrial facilities. These aren’t simple jobs. They require engineers who can read a set of plans, work through problems in the field, and communicate clearly with project managers, superintendents, and owners.
Project engineers at Gregory are embedded in the work. You’re not sitting in a home office running reports. You’re on site, tracking submittals, managing RFIs, supporting schedule updates, coordinating subcontractors, and helping the project team execute. Field engineers are even closer to the ground, you’re the technical support for what’s being built, making sure what goes in the ground matches what’s on the drawings.
What We Expect From You
We expect our engineers to be sharp, communicative, and eager to learn how construction works in practice, not just how it looks on paper. A degree is a plus, but what moves you forward here is your ability to solve problems in real time, take ownership of your scope, and build trust with the people around you. Our superintendents and project managers have a lot of experience. The engineers who do well here are the ones who respect that and learn from it while bringing their own technical knowledge to the table.
We also expect you to communicate thoroughly, issues need to surface early, changes need to be anticipated and documented, and the field needs to know what’s coming. That discipline is non-negotiable on our projects.
