Gregory operates on industrial and mission-critical construction projects across the country, and the people in our operations support roles are a critical part of how we execute at scale. This category spans a range of positions — project administrators embedded on active job sites, fleet systems and administration coordinators managing the business systems behind a 500-piece equipment fleet, equipment rental and logistics coordinators sourcing and moving iron to wherever our projects need it.
These roles don’t have a single job description because they don’t have a single function. What they share is this: the project teams and field crews depending on them need things to work. Timecards processed accurately. Equipment delivered on time. Records maintained cleanly. Vendors coordinated. Systems running. When that happens, our people in the field can focus on building the future.
What We Expect From You
We expect our operations support professionals to be organized, proactive, and sharp on the details. In a construction environment, information moves fast, and the margin for error is small. Whether you’re managing equipment records across multiple software platforms, coordinating a fleet of rental equipment across multiple states, or supporting a project manager and superintendent on an active job site, accuracy and follow-through are non-negotiable.
Communication matters as much as organization in these roles. You’ll be working across departments, with field personnel, vendors, and corporate leadership. The ability to communicate clearly, manage competing priorities without losing your grip on the details, and flag problems early rather than late is what separates people who do well here. We have a slogan that clearly defines the alignment between the back office and the field, and that is:
